BAHRAIN routed China by nine wickets yesterday to register their third victory in five matches in the World Cricket League Asia qualifiers in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Earlier, Bahrain had beaten hosts Thailand, lost to Saudi Arabia, beat Qatar and lost to Kuwait on Friday.
Batting first, China were bowled out for 65 in 32. Overs with GSPR Arachchige (4-7), Junaid Aziz (2-19), Babar Ali (2-11) and Tahir Dar (2-8) the wickets-takers for Bahrain.
In reply, Bahrain reached the target in six overs with the loss of just one wicket.
Opener Imran Butt stayed unbeaten on 14 (11 runs, 3 fours) and Mohammed Sameer (23, 13 balls, 3 fours, 1 six) steered Bahrain home.
Janaka Chaturanga (26, 12 balls, 1 four, 3 sixes) was the only batsman out for Bahrain.
In the other matches, Saudi Arabia stayed unbeaten scoring their fifth victory, a narrow and thrilling one-wicket win over Thailand, to stay top of the table with 10 points.
Kuwait beat Bhutan by 75 runs.
