AWARD winning singer-songwriter Sandi Thom will perform at Bahrain Rugby Football Club this weekend.
The famous singer who now resides in Bahrain will showcase her music on Friday along with other talented musical acts to raise money for Tony the Dogfather’s Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre.
The Scottish born artist who is well-known for her hit single I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (with Flowers in My Hair), will take to the stage along with Ahmed Alqasim, Hani Malik, Kyle Merridue and the Ravens Band.
Mr Alqasim, a member of the local band Likwid, will perform an acoustic set during the evening while Mr Merridue will showcase his modern take on acoustic music.
A doctor by day and musician by night, singer-songwriter Mr Malik will be performing a variety of music that he has written.
Bahraini band Ravens will entertain crowds with a variety of music from across the genres including jazz, Latin, pop and more.
Additionally, there will be lots of activities as well such as a henna tattoo stall, face painters and a raffle with prizes up for grabs.
All profits from the event will be donated to the centre.
Doors open at 5.30pm and entry is free for members and BD2 for non-members.
