Oman's Ministry of Manpower has today suspended all electronic services for 48 hours as a precautionary measure to avert the global ransomware attack which hit thousands of computers all over the world, according to Shabiba newspaper.
The services include the complaints system, work leave notices, commercial electronic licence and work permit requests, said the ministry.
The Omani Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Health Ministry and Muscat Municipality also announced a temporary suspension of e-services. Other Government departments and public establishment also followed suit.
