Private sector employees will work for six hours during the month of Ramadan, set to start late this week.
The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs urged companies to comply with the labor law, vowing to take legal action against violators.
“Labour inspectors will conduct field visits to work sites and companies to ensure their adherence to the application of the provisions”, it said, stressing its role in supervising the commitment of private sector companies and institutions to implementing the law.
The ministry announced that it would receive complaints from employees of companies which flout the law through different communication channels, including its hotline service.
