Drugs overdose caused the death of 25 Kuwaiti nationals and expatriates since January, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
Morphine was the most lethal, causing the death of 15 citizens and expatriates, followed by Benzodiazepines, a class of psychoactive drugs.
Shabu and cannabis were also cited as major causes of death due to overdoses over the past five months, security sources said.
Most cases of drug-related deaths were reported among people aged 31 to 40, followed by the 41-50 age category and then those aged 21-30.
