Matin Rey Tangu, Salman Khan's eight-year old co-star in 'Tubelight', gave a fitting reply to an uncomfortable question asked by a journalist at a press meet.
Salman Khan and brother Sohail Khan are out and about promoting their movie 'Tubelight' and this time Matin Rey Tangu joined them for the promotions.
Matin, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh, was introduced to the media at the event. One ignorant reporter assumed Matin to be Chinese and asked how it feels to visit India.
The journalist was corrected by another reporter sitting next to her and quickly changed her question, “If this is the first time you have come to Mumbai?.”
As the question wasn't audible to Matin, Salman, who had heard the first question, interrupted, turned towards Matin and asked him, “She is asking, if you have come to India for the first time?”
The journalist repeated and said, “Is it first time in Mumbai?” Salman, however, stuck to his question and asked Matin again, “She is asking, if you have come to India for the first time?”
“Hum India per hi baithta hai, toh India mei toh aayega na (I live in India only, so obviously I will come here),” and the crowd applauded and cheered at the quick response.
No wonder why Salman Khan is so impressed by the witty young co-star.
Matin aspires to be an actor now, even though, his plans were a little different initially.
In a behind-the-scenes video from the upcoming film, Salman said that Matin used to complain on the set and say that he did not enjoy shooting as he wanted to be a chef.
When Salman asked his young co-star to tell the media what he wanted to become in future, the kid said, "I want to be an actor. Ab actor ban gaya toh ban gaya (Now I have become an actor so I will continue)."
"I will cook in free time," he added.
'Tubelight' is directed by Kabir Khan and also stars Sohail Khan.
When Salman asked Matin if he remembered the first day of the shoot, he said, "Yes, I remember the place where I threw up. I puked because I couldn't breathe."
