A Salam Air maiden flight landed at Sohar Airport, coming from Salalah, with 72 passengers aboard, according to Watan newspaper.
Salam Air is a budget airline from Oman, headquartered and based at Muscat International Airport.
The airline will start operating three weekly direct flights between Sohar and Salalah, from July 9, 2017, said the Times of Oman.
Air Arabia, a budget airline headquartered at Sharjah Freight Center, will also start international flights to Sohar airport on July 9.
