Passengers of an Egyptian aircraft were left in great discomfort due to a faulty air conditioning system, which left them soaking in sweat, according to Akhbaar24.com.

The privately-owned airline's plane was about to take off from Kuwait International Airport and head to Burj Al Arab Airport in Alexandria when the AC system broke down.

Technical maintenance teams repaired the malfunction which enabled the plane to take off after a delay of more than one hour.

The pilot had to open the doors for air circulation as many sweating passengers passed out due to the scorching heat.

A passenger identified only as “Mourad” posted a video on social media, showing travellers’ ordeal and outrage as the AC was being repaired.
