CHILDREN in Bahrain are being invited to audition for a part in an American stage production set to be performed next week.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) will be performing Sleeping Beauty next week at the Cultural Hall as part of the Bahrain Summer Festival.
The US Embassy has announced that open auditions will be held on Sunday from 10am to 12pm at the Cultural Hall.
MCT directors Whitney Brennan Ward and Nick Cartusciello will direct the play and conduct the workshops in Bahrain.
Ms Ward has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre from Central Washington University, while Mr Cartusciello is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in theatre arts.
MCT is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the important role arts play in all communities.
The company tours more than 1,100 communities in the US, Canada and a dozen countries internationally every year.
The production is being hosted by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the US Embassy.
The performance will be held on July 28 at the Cultural Hall at 7pm.
