Saudi Arabia has issued a travel advisory, warning its citizens against going to Venezuela due to the current security situation unfolding there.
Director-General of Public Relations and Information Directorate at Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Mara'oul, was quoted by SPA as saying that the Interior Ministry received a report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the arrest of a number of Saudi citizens by the Venezuelan authorities at Caracas International Airport due to the unstable internal situation in the country.
The Saudi Embassy in Caracas has said that a number of Saudi citizens have come to Venezuela despite the critical security situation.
It pointed out that that the majority are Saudi students abroad who came to visit their friends without any idea about the internal situation of Venezuela, which requires their care and caution.
