Bahrain has extradited a Saudi national who is suspected of killing a compatriot four days ago in the city of Hail in Saudi Arabia, according to Sabq newspaper.
The suspect, in his thirties, reportedly shot his victim dead with three bullets in a flat located at Al Samra’a neighbourrhood before fleeing to Manama.
Once in Manama, he rang up one of his relatives in Saudi Arabia and confessed to killing his friend who was also in his thirties.
“The relative called the police in Hail and reported the crime immediately,” said media spokesman Major Sami bin Fuhaid.
The fugitive, who was deported from Bahrain, confessed to killing his compatriot before fleeing the scene of the crime.
He will be referred to the Public Prosecution to be charged and referred to the criminal court to stand trial.
