The final of the Arab Football Clubs Championship ended in total chaos and scenes of violence in Alexandria stadium, according to Al Mowaten newspaper.
Tunisia's Esperance Sportif de Tunis lifted the trophy after beating Al Faisaly of Jordan 3-2 in extra time.
The two teams were 2-2 at the end of regular time in the final which was played in Alexandria stadium.
The Tunisian team sealed the victory with a third extra time goal which was hugely contested by the Jordan side, claiming that it was off-side.
Al Faisaly players and administrative staff assaulted the international Egyptian referee, Ibrahim Noureddine, twice.
