Four Emirati soldiers die in helicopter crash in Yemen

Four Emirati soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash due to a technical malfunction in the Yemeni province of Shabwa, according to Al Bayan newspaper.

The UAE Armed Forces General Command named the dead officers as Captain Ahmed Khalifa Al Balooshi, Sergeants Mohammed Said Al Hassani and Samir Mohammed Mourad Abu Bakr and First Lieutenant Jassim Saleh Al Zaabi.

“The chopper crashed during an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction,” it said in a statement, extending condolences to their bereaved families.
