JIDHAFS Youth Centre defeated Sadad 8-2 to qualify to the next round of the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5).
Safrah, Al Naeem and Salmabad also qualified to the next round from group four.
In the other matches, Jurdab drew 4-4 with Al Wusta, Al Dair beat Karranah 3-2 and Shakhoora edged out Aali 4-3 in a match that was described as tough and exciting.
Four matches, with the first starting at 5pm, are scheduled for today in seventh and the eighth groups.
Zallaq clash with Arad, Al Jasrah meet Al Junoob, Hamad Town take on Al Maameer and Hamala challenge Buquwa.
Jurdab’s Ali Al Qamar, Jidhafs’s Ali Al Alwani, Al Dair’s Mohammed Al Hayki and Shakhoora’s Hisham Jawad were declared best players of their respective matches.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and honourary president of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities thanked Palace Projects for their support and sponsorship to Khalid 5.
Shaikh Khalid noted that the sponsorship offered by the company reflects its interest and concern in empowering and developing the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Consecutive
Khalid 5 is being jointly organised for the fifth consecutive year by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa under the slogan #Generations_Meeting and will run till September 14 with 59 teams, representing youth centres, local clubs, people with disabilities and girls’ teams, in the fray.
Former national team player Khalid Jassim Al Nisf described Khalid 5 as a forum to unite the Bahraini youth of all areas, villages and towns and strengthen the national and social bonds between them.
