BAHRAIN Club clinched the GPIC Table Tennis Women’s League title defeating Ministry of Interior (MOI) 3-2 in the final at Bahrain Table Tennis Association (BTTA) Sports Hall in Isa Town.
Bahrain Club ended the league with 10 points, followed by MOI on nine and A’ali (8).
Tubli and Samaheej finished fourth and fifth respectively with six points each while Ministry of Education were sixth with four points.
In the final, Kaltham Al Yasi of MOI defeated Hessa Al Zayyani of Bahrain Club 3-0.
Maryam Al Belooshi of Bahrain Club equalised defeating Ruqaya Al Yasi of MOI 3-2.
In the doubles, Hessa Al Zayyani and Maryam Al Belooshi of Bahrain Club defeated Kaltham Al Yasi and Ruqaya Al Yasi of MOI 3-2.
In the reverse singles, Kaltham Al Yasi of MOI defeated Maryam Al Belooshi 3-2 before Hessa Al Zayyani of Bahrain Club routed Ruqaya Al Yasi 3-0 in the decisive clash.
BTTA president Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa presented the gold medals to Bahrain Club team members, silver to MOI and bronze to A’ali.
