BAHRAIN Catalysts Association edged out Bahrain Disability Challenging Youth Society 4-3 on the opening day of the league for the disabled in the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.
Abdulnasser Al Jazzaf scored a hat-trick for the Disability Challenging team.
In other matches, Special Olympics Team routed Friendship Society for the Blind 12-0, Bahrain Deaf Society drew with the Disability Team 2-2 and Bahrain Deaf Society pipped Hearing Disabilities Team 1-0.
Bahrain Catalysts Association lost their second match of the day 5-6 to the Deaf Team while Special Olympics Team beat Bahrain Deaf Society 5-2.
The playoffs of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres will start today, with the first match starting at 5pm.

President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa and Bahraini Paralympics Champion Fatima Abdulrazzaq praised Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honourary president of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities for patronising Khalid 5 for the fifth successive year.
