MOVEMENT Disability and Special Olympics Team stormed into the final of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Players with Disabilities.
Movement Disability Team beat Bahrain Deaf Society Team 3-1 in the first semi-final at Khalifa Sports City Hall.
In the second semi-final, Special Olympics Team defeated Deaf Team 4-1.
The final of all three leagues – for Youth Centres, for Players with Disabilities and for Girls (Khalid 5) – will be held on Thursday.
Bahrain Deaf Society’s striker Jalal Makki and Special Olympics Team’s Mosa Al Qaidoom won the best player prize of their respective matches.
The semi-finals of the Youth Centres league will be held today.
Sanad take on Buquwa at 5pm while Muharraq Youth Centre clash with Jidhafs at 6pm.
Nabeel Al Balooshi, member of House of Representatives, and Nasser Mohammed, well-known Bahraini Journalist, attended the matches on Saturday and praised Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and honourary president of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, for patronising Khalid 5 for the fifth successive year.
The league is being organised by Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.
