Applied Science University (ASU), founded in 2004, is one of the first private universities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The university’s curriculum for its degree programmes combined with ‘state-of-the-art’ campus, and well experienced and qualified staff make it attractive to study on local and international programmes.
Applied Science University president Professor Ghassan Aouad believes that university education is vital in developing the human capital of Bahrain.
With this vision, the university tried to reach out to the global market by introducing specialised programmes from well-recognised educational institutions.
“We took a major step in introducing specialised programmes by the inauguration of the new faculty of engineering,” said Prof Aouad.
The co-operation with London South Bank (LSBU) is aimed to offer engineering programmes in the first academic semester 2017/2018, namely Architectural Design Engineering and Civil and Construction Engineering.
In addition, a joint international conference with LSBU on sustainable future will take place in November 2017 under the patronage of Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi.
ASU is also collaborating with Cardiff Metropolitan University by launching Bachelor programmes in accounting and finance as well as management and business studies.
These unique programmes will enable students to navigate through the challenges of the evolving business environment and adapt into the ever-changing realm of the financial sectors.
ASU is also pleased to announce the admissions of the Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Whilst studying at ASU, students will get their degrees from LSBU for Engineering and Cardiff Met for Accounting and Finance as well as Management and Business Studies programmes.
ASU ensures that its students receive a globally acclaimed educational experience by recruiting instructors from more than 20 nationalities and from various educational backgrounds.
The university nurtures its students with an innovative and interactive educational approach adopted by ASU.
Graduates will venture into the 21st century job market with exceptional skills to meet a demanding market place.
The president thanks the Education Ministry and the Higher Education Council for all their great efforts in transforming the Higher Education Sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
