Saudi denies Qatari ‘rights’ allegations

GDN Online Desk

Saudi Arabia denied any prejudice towards the rights of Qatari nationals who enter its territories.

The Saudi King had issued royal orders to enable Qatari visitors who need to enter or leave the country to exercise their rights in full within the framework of the applicable regulations in force in this regard.

The Saudi National Society for Human Rights said that it had verified competent authorities’ compliance with the royal orders, pointing out that a special committee had been set up to deal with the emergency humanitarian situations.

“These instructions, procedures and humanitarian steps taken by the Saudi competent authorities preserve and safeguard the rights of all people, including visiting Qatari nationals and others”, it said, refuting the allegations of Qatari National Human Rights Committee.

The Saudi watchdog called on Qatari citizens to report their complaints so their grievances could be in accordance with the regulations.
