A Jordanian Royal Wings plane skidded off course on landing at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, 325 Kilometres to the South of the capital Amman.

The Jordanian national carrier confirmed that no injuries were reported among passengers or crew members.

The Royal Wings airlines had leased the Boeing 737 on ACMI basis (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) from Solitaire Air, a Jordanian carrier.

Flight JO 6888 took off from Amman with 126 passengers aboard and landed in Aqaba, on its way to Dubai.

Royal Wings provided hotel accommodation in Aqaba to all the passengers while waiting for another airplane to fly them to Dubai.
