A Kuwaiti national was arrested for setting up a drug farm at his house in Mubarak Al Kabeer, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
The anti-drug squad, which acted on a tip-off, caught the man red-handed and seized 1,000 marijuana saplings which were ready to be sold.
They also discovered two roof-top drug farms which are fully equipped to grow marijuana. Policemen searched his house and confiscated marijuana seeds and a precision scale for weighing drugs
He confessed to smuggling the marijuana seeds from Holland, adding that he started growing drugs more than four years ago.
The suspect, who is unemployed, was referred to anti-narcotics prosecution to face legal charges.
