Saudi and Britain sign deal to strengthen defence and military ties

Saudi Arabia and Britain signed a framework agreement to strengthen joint defence and military co-operation, according to Sabq newspaper. Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sealed the deal with British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon in Jeddah. The two sides also reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly the mechanism of joint co-ordination in the field of defence. They also discussed the latest developments in the region and efforts to combat terrorism. |
