THE all-new Mercedes Benz S-Class was unveiled by Al Haddad Motors at a ceremony at its showroom in Salmabad yesterday.
During the launch, the company also announced that it had signed a corporate deal with Majestic Cars which will include 20 S-Class, eight E-Class and a GLS in their fleet.
The launch was attended by Al Haddad Motors financial controller Jeff Cummings, marketing manager Imran Sakhawat Ali, sales manager Bryan Logue and Majestic Cars directors Ebrahim Al Senan and Najem Al Senan.
“The Mercedes-Benz S-Class remains ahead of its time,” said Mr Ali.
“Like its predecessors, the new model sets new automotive standards by taking steps towards autonomous driving, achieving new levels of exceptional interior comfort and elevating the driver’s experience to reach new levels of satisfaction.
“The S-Class proved to be the best-selling luxury sedan in the world in 2016, and we are confident that the flagship model will maintain its pole position this year and well into the future.”
The new S-Class will be available in six model variants in the GCC markets: Mercedes-Benz S450, Mercedes-Benz S560, Mercedes-Benz S560 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG S63 4MATIC+, Mercedes-AMG S65 and Mercedes-Maybach S650.
The Mercedes-Benz S560e, an upgraded plug-in hybrid variant, will be available later in the year.
The Mercedes-Benz S450, S560 4MATIC and Mercedes-AMG S63 4MATIC+ are already available while all other model variants will be launched in November.
The line-up of the all new S-Class models will consist of a starting price of BD43,505 for the S450.
