Kuwait strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a checkpoint of the Saudi Royal Guard in front of the western gate of Al Salam Palace in Jeddah, according to KUNA.
It reaffirmed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and backed all measures undertaken by Riyadh authorities to defend national security and stability. It renewed its principled stand against all forms of terrorism, calling for concerted international efforts to combat terrorism.
The Foreign Ministry expressed the stance and extended condolences to the leaders and people of Saudi Arabia as well as the families of the two security guards who were killed in the attack.
The ministry issued a statement wishing the three others who were wounded a quick recovery.
The assailant, identified as 28-year-old Mansur bin Hassan bin Ali Al Fahid Al Amiri, was shot dead by security forces, Saudi news agency SPA reported, citing Ministry of Interior sources.
