Kangana Ranaut is one of the most endearing Bollywood success stories of our times. She burst unto the B-town in 2006 in those peculiar curls and that weird accent. Her fashion sense was very 'wannabe' for the lack of a better word. Slowly but surely this petite girl from Himachal Pradesh worked hard to better herself in all spheres. We track her journey from a newcomer to a style diva and perhaps at the end of the slideshow you can she how her style is evolved. so much so that the person in the first picture look salmost nothing like the person inthe last picture.
From gawky to sassy, style evolution of the fiery Kangana Ranaut
Her acting skills evolved, her English improved, her voice modulation took a turn for the better and her fashion sense became unparalleled. Some of it has to do with how she was being styled, perhaps in the early years - it was just unadulterated Kangana, before she has a team that looked after her every red carpet/movie appearance.
The old Kangana had really thin eyebrows, curls that were tamed into submission through a straightener or tied up high to give her face a very dated look. She also had some 'puppy-fat ‘around her jawline so the chiseled look we see these days was non-existent.
Her make-up skills have also gone up a notch, so basic skills like contouring and foundation-matching have been mastered. Or she has simply got a decent make-up artist. But she is also one of the few women look fantastic sans make-up in even the flashiest environment.
The only other person who comes to mind when we talk of stark transformations is Rekha. When she debuted Rekha was dissed as a dark-skinned 'ugly duckling'. Rekha worked over time to become one of the most glamourous divas of her times and has been touted as an eternal beauty for decades. The fact that she too is supremely talented only helped her cause.
It took Kangana close to 6 years to break out of her 'ugly-duckling' shell and present a new version of herself. This was noticed first in an interview she did with Anupama Chopra where her diction, pronunciation, choice of words and most of all the originality of thought made people sit up and take notice.
Yes, she had duds like Rascals in the middle and then she hit the jackpot with the sleeper-hit ‘Queen' and 'Tanu weds Manu'. These films catapulted her into the big league. She was touted as one of the few female stars who could carry a film on their shoulders.
As her career took off, Kangana began dressing the part too. Her Fashion choices were a mix of bold and refreshing. Saris with brogues, simple sarees with no jewelry and make-up.

Giving the elegant dress a deserving hairdo, she sported hers in an updo finishing out the look with pink pumps and a pink lip. But, considering she already had pink pumps on, wish she’d just opted for glossy lip and let the pumps be the only pop of color.
Having said that though, she still looked good.
