UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash yesterday said Qatar had failed in putting an end to its crisis through media and internationalisation. He called on Qatar to knock on the doors of Riyadh where the solution lies.
“The stubbornness of one person and his uncertain legacy shouldn’t be the cause of this downfall,” he tweeted.
The present crisis with Qatar hasn’t been created by the UAE or Saudi Arabia. It has rather been caused by its policy of backing terrorism.
Commenting on Qatar’s launch of an English language website to attack the UAE, he said: “Qatar’s launch of an English account urging to boycott the UAE doesn’t help in dealing with its crisis. If only efforts have been directed towards changing policies supporting extremism and terrorism…This is just a waste of effort and money.”
