FIFA U-17 World Cup: Iraq qualify for round of 16

Kolkata: Iraq qualified for the last 16 in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup yesterday by finishing second with four points after losing to England 4-0 in their final Group F encounter.

Iraq previously won against Chile 3-0 and ended a 1-1 draw with Mexico, Mohammed Dawood Yaseen who plays for Al Naft Sport Club scored three goals, while Mexican Diego Valencia scored an own goal for Iraq in their first round.

Iraq will face Mali in quarter-final in Goa on October 17.
