Preparations are in full swing for the staging of World Amateur MMA Championship on November 12-19 at Khalifa Sports City Arena.
The championship is being organised under the patronage of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.
It is jointly organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF).
BMMAF president, Supreme Organising Committee member and Executive Committee head of the World Amateur MMA Championship Col. Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat followed up in detail the work of each committee to provide them with all the needed equipment.
Al Khayat said the championship reflects the aspirations of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of BMMAF, to develop MMA in the Kingdom and the entire region.
The championship will be held within the International Combat Week, which also features other activities and events such as the ninth edition of Brave MMA Championships entitled “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions”.
