The UAE anti-narcotics authorities foiled two attempts to sell 3.612 million pills of amphetamine in the local market, according to Al Bayan newspaper.
The police in Abu Dhabi busted the first drug-selling operation, codenamed “Tanker of Death” and arrested three Arab nationals.
The anti-drugs squad seized three million pills, which were concealed professionally in a big water tank in a warehouse.
They also arrested two other Arab drug smugglers and seized 612,000 pills in an operation codenamed “Red Line”, said Abu Dhabi director-general of police Major-General Maktoum Al Sharifi.
