Rugby Club B fell to British Club A 17-4 as the second week fixtures of the Bahrain Expatriate Netball League kicked off yesterday at the British Club of Bahrain.
British Club A finished the first quarter with a 6-0 lead and went on to extend it to 10-1 by the end of the second quarter.
Rugby Club B tried to get back to the game and managed to decrease the goal difference before ending the third quarter at 12-4. The fourth quarter saw British Club A extend their lead on the way to victory.
Nicola McHugh, who plays as a goal defence from Rugby Club B, claimed the player of the match award for her team, while Debbie Cochrane, who plays as a center, claimed the award for British Club A.
The second game saw the British Club B claim a big win against Sri Lanka 30-3.
The first quarter ended with a 9-2 lead for the British Club B and they expanded it in the second quarter 14-2.
Sri Lanka managed to score one more point as the British Club scored another seven to end the third quarter leading 21-3.
The final quarter saw British Club B score nine points with their opponents failing to score once to end the game with a scoreline of 30-3.
Munira, who plays as goal defence for Sri Lanka, claimed the player of the match award for her team, while Tamsin, who also plays as a goal defence, claimed it for British Club B.
The third game saw Rugby Team A defeat Dilmun Club B 43-10.
The first quarter was an intense one as Rugby Team A overcame Dilmun Club B by just three goals ending the quarter at 9-6. However, the second quarter saw a different start for the Rugby Team A side as they ended it with a scoreline of 23-6.
Rugby Team A continued their outstanding performance in the third quarter by scoring 11 points as Dilmun Club B only added two to their goal tally to end the quarter at 34-8.
The fourth quarter saw Rugby Team A dominate Dilmun Club B as they sealed the win.
Amani Alasfoor, goal attack of Rugby Team A, was her team’s player of the match, while Natalie Moyatt, goal defence of Dilmun Team B, won the award for her team.
The fourth game of the night saw Dilmun Club A outplay Dilmun Club C 61-1.
Dilmun Club A started out very well in the first quarter ending it with a 16-1 lead. They continued their fantastic performance in the second quarter and increased their lead to 28-1. In the third quarter, they extended their lead to a 40-goal difference and ended the match with a 60-goal lead.
Sarah Welsh, center player for Dilmun Club C, won the player of the match award while Olivia Wilson, who plays as a goal attack for Dilmun Club B, won the award for her team.
The third week fixtures will take place next Tuesday.
