Strasbourg: Bahrain yesterday sought to forge improved European links, in order to achieve regional and global security.
This came as Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed Al Mutawa expressed the kingdom’s keenness to enhance co-operation with the European Parliament (EP) and strengthen GCC-European relations.
Mr Al Mutawa met EP’s delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula chairperson Michele Alliot-Marie expressed satisfaction at the advanced level of EP-Bahrain relations, lauding the kingdom’s support to international efforts to combat terrorism, and effective contributions towards promoting global peace.

Ms Alliot-Marie accepted Mr Al Mutawa’s invitation, pledging to visit Bahrain in the near future.
Mr Al Mutawa praised her committee’s efforts to create new horizons of constructive and fruitful rapprochement and consolidate the existing partnership.
