TWO cricketing legends from the subcontinent will be visiting Bahrain this week to raise money for a charity organisation.

India’s off-spin bowler Harbhajan Singh will join former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi who is hosting the fund-raiser for Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF), at the Gulf Hotel.

Pakistani TV presenter Iqrar Ul Hassan is also expected to attend the event.

Mr Singh posted a video on Twitter for his fans in Bahrain, expressing his excitement at joining Mr Afridi for a charitable cause.

The SAF was set up to help improve the living conditions of the poor and destitute people in Pakistan.

Its first project was the construction of Sahibzada Fazal Rehman Memorial and Charity Hospital in Kohat, a city in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

The fund-raiser will be held on Thursday, from 6.30pm.
