A BAHRAINI sculptor will be exhibiting his works at Hind Gallery in Muharraq later this month.

AbdulRasool Al Ghayeb’s Expressing and Modelling in Sculpture will open on November 12, at 7pm, and run until November 30.

Mr Al Ghayeb’s second expo is being held under the patronage of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities culture and arts director Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa.

TURKISH cuisine, culture and delicacies take centre stage this week.

Hosted by the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa, the event which began on Monday will continue until Saturday.

Celebrity Turkish Chef Metin Isci has been flown in especially for the occasion.

The event will also feature live entertainment such as Zeybek dancing, Ebru paper marbling art demonstration, live singing with melodic folk music and more.

GUESTS will be treated to an interactive show this weekend called The Improvables.

Organised by the Manama Theatre Club, audiences will witness a form of improvisational theatre called Theatresports Maestro, which uses the format of a competition for dramatic effect.

Opposing teams perform scenes with the audience or a panel providing ratings.

It will take place at Café Amsterdam on Saturday.

UNDERGROUND techno music is in focus this weekend for an event titled Native.

Taking place at Bossa Nova on Friday, the event will feature DJs Fawazo and YoFo.

A BALLET, Meera, will take place next weekend at the Cultural Hall.

Organised by the Indian Fine Arts Society Bahrain in association with Convex events, the ballet is presented by Arsha Kala Bhushan, Chitra Visweswaran and Chidambaram Dance Company.

The event on November 10 is held under the patronage of the Indian Embassy to commemorate the 70th year of independence.

The entire music score for the production is composed by ‘Bombay’ Jayashri Ramnath.

PURCHASE unique gifts for Christmas later this month at the American Women’s Association (AWA) Snowflake Craft Fair.

Held at the Diplomat Radisson BLU Hotel, Residence and Spa on November 18, the event provides the perfect opportunity for residents to showcase and sell their handcrafted products.
