Ithmaar appoints deputy CEOs

MANAMA: Ithmaar Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic retail bank, has promoted two of its most senior executives to the position of deputy chief executive.

A statement said Abdulhakeem Al Mutawa has been named the new deputy chief executive for banking group whereas Ravindra Khot is the deputy chief executive for support group.

The announcement by the group chief executive Ahmed Abdul Rahim is in line with the bank’s long-standing commitments to reinforcing its merit-based culture, promoting from within and developing its entire workforce, including the leadership.

Mr Al Mutawa joined the group in 2003 and was general manager for the banking group since September 2013. He has more than 35 years of management and banking experience.

Mr Khot joined the group in 2007, was the chief operating officer since September 2013. He has more than 31 years of banking and finance experience.
