Indian man gets life in prison for killing employer's brother
Manama: AN Indian man has been jailed for life for killing his employer’s brother.
The 37-hear-old was today found guilty of murdering Bahraini Ali Mahdi Al Samaheeji.
The attack took place during a heated argument which broke out between the employee and the 65-year-old man at a workshop in A’ali in November 16 last year.
The defendant picked up a chisel and stabbed Mr Al Samaheeji six times in the face, chest, abdomen and back.
The workshop owner, Hassan Al Samaheeji, who is the defendant’s employer, was also stabbed when he tried to intervene.
He sustained injuries and was taken to Salmaniya Medical Complex.
The defendant also assaulted two other people, including a woman.
He was sentenced to 25 years behind bars by the High Criminal Court today (Nov 9).
He will also be deported after completing his sentence.
