Muscat: Oman and Libya pledged to strengthen bilateral relations and bolster joint cooperation in all fields to serve share interest.
Omani Deputy Premier for Cabinet Affairs Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said chaired the session with Head of Presidency Council (PC) of the Libyan Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj in Muscat.
Al-Said commended the role of the Government of National Accord, stressing his country’s support to Libya’s security, stability and territorial integrity, reported Oman Daily.
Al-Sarraj also paid tribute to the Sultanate of Oman for hosting the meetings of the high committee in charge of drafting the Libyan constitution and backing efforts to restore security and stability in Libya.
The two sides discussed means of strengthening economic and investment cooperation, stressing the importance of activating joint agreements. Regional and international issues and latest developments unfolding the Middle East were also reviewed.
The Libyan delegations, led by Al-Sarraj, paid a visit to the Royal Opera House in Muscat, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the National Museum.
