Chelsea Pensioners Sergeant Michael Allen, Warrant Officer (Class 2) John Carbis and Warrant Officer (Class 1) Carl Hayhurst are guests of the Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF).
During the course of their week-long stay in Bahrain, the guests will be wearing their distinctive “scarlet” uniform and will attend several functions.
These include the laying of a wreath at a memorial service to mark Remembrance Day, visits to the Dilmun Club, British Club, Rugby Club, Capital Club and the Royal Golf Club, several schools, British Embassy functions and they will also enjoy a tour of Bahrain’s many landmarks.
The BBBF, in collaboration with the British Business Association from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, will also hold the annual Poppy Ball on Thursday at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Residence and Spa, where the three Chelsea Pensioners will attend as guests of honour.
