Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has launched 21 infrastructure development projects worth SR7 billion ($1.6 billion) in the Madinah region, said a report.

These projects will cover the key sectors of electricity, agriculture, water, education and transportation, reported Saudi Gazette.

The launch was held at a special ceremony organised by Prince Faisal Bin Salman, emir of Madinah province, and Prince Saud Bin Khaled Al-Faisal, deputy emir of the province, and the citizens of Madinah for the Saudi monarch, it stated.

Saudi King and the guests later watched a presentation on the projects of Madinah Development Authority, it added.
