THE annual Poppy Ball will be held tomorrow night at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa.
Organised by the Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF), the event is one of the highlights of Bahrain’s yearly social calendar and is held in collaboration with the British Business Association from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
One of the main attractions of the ball will be the presence of visiting Chelsea Pensioners Sergeant Michael Allen, Warrant Officer (Class 2) John Carbis and Warrant Officer (Class 1) Carl Hayhurst as guests of honour.
The ball will commence at 7pm with a welcome reception and a buffet dinner, followed by a DJ from 9.30pm until late.
Dress code is evening or cocktail dresses for women and dinner suits with black ties or national dress for men.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Chelsea Pensioners Appeal, The Earl Haig Fund and The Mother and Child Welfare Society.
Tickets can be purchased from the British Club, Adliya, The Bookcase in Budaiya, Dilmun Club and the Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Saar.
