The emirate of Ajman has slashed all traffic violations by 50 per cent marking the UAE Year of Giving and the 46th National Day, Emarat Al Youm newspaper reported.
Ajman Crown Prince and Executive Council member Shaikh Ammar bin Hameed Al Nuaimi said the waiver will apply to traffic violations predating November 11.
Ajman Police Chief Commander Major-General Shaikh Sultan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi said that the decision would take effect on November 26 and conclude by the end of this year.
He pointed out that the payment of the violations during the grace period would be made through the Ajman Police smart application.
