Indian doctors removed 191 tumours from the uterus of an Omani woman.
The four-hour-long surgery was conducted successfully at the Star Care Hospital in the southern state of Kerala.
The complicated surgery could enter the Guinness Book of World Records, replacing the removal of 186 tumours from a patient in Egypt.
Doctors succeeded in retaining the uterus and ovaries as the woman wished to be a mother again, according to Times of Oman.
The medical authorities said that the woman would be discharged from the hospital within two days.
Doctors had removed 84 tumours from a patient in a previous surgery, setting a local record for India.
