Ali Esa claimed the grand prize in the second round of the Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Showjumping Championship held at the Military Military Federation arena.
Esa dominated the round which featured obstacles of 125m in height, clocking 53.93 seconds in this championship held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Environment vice president, and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation president Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Finishing second was Ahmed Mansour, who completed the main event in less time (47.47 seconds), but committed four faults.
Ahmed Akbar came third in 53.45 seconds and fourth place went to Basil Al Dosari who was almost one second behind Akbar.
Meanwhile, Eiad Ahmed bagged the title of the fourth competition for advanced athletes, picking up 44 points at a time of 42.55 seconds.
Nidal Abdulnabi came second in 43.13 seconds with an equal number of points with the winner, while Ahmed Esa rounded out the podium placers with 44 points also, but at 48.55 seconds.
Elsewhere, Fadel Al Hadad won the third competition for amateur athletes.
