A centre for elderly women will be constructed in Hoora.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has directed a land in Block 318 to be reallocated and registered for the centre.

Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan paid tribute to the Premier for the gesture which, he said, reflects his keenness to provide the elderly with the necessary social security and healthcare.

Mr Humaidan announced that the ministry would start administrative and executive procedures to start construction of the centre, adding that the Premier’s directives would have a positive impact on the elderly.

He hailed the Premier’s keenness to reach out to citizens and meet their needs.

“The Premier allocated plots and budgets to build and operate several other social and development centres in all governorates,” he said.

The minister stressed the Premier’s directives, instructing officials to visit villages, assess citizens’ needs and meet their demands promptly.
