First test flight from new Muscat Airport set for December 23

The first test flight will officially take off from the newly-built Muscat International Airport on December 23, it was revealed.

The Minister of Transportation and Communications Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim Al-Futaisi today announced the planned test flight.

He made the statement on the sidelines of the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Exchange forum, which started today in Muscat, in the presence of more than 1,500 aviation experts from around the world.

The two-day forum, considered one of the most important gatherings on the global air transport calendar, is being held under the auspices of Yahya bin Saeed Al Jabri, Chairman of SEZAD and Chairman of the Board of Directors of OAMC.
