Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar commended the overall strategy of the Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) to support and qualify the youth team for future championships.
Askar also expressed satisfaction with the steps undertaken by BVA in regards to its strategic plan that was announced last year to achieve excellence for volleyball in Bahrain by 2020.
This was announced at Askar’s visit to BVA premises at Isa Sports City in Riffa, where he was briefed on what have been executed by the association so far as part of it strategic plan.
Joined by BOC Sports Affairs executive director Abduljalil Asad and Media & Public Relations director Mohammed Lori, Askar met BVA vice-president Jehad Khalfan, general secretary Feras Al Halwachi and other board members.
On his part, national team manager Yousif Khalifa gave a presentation with detailed statistics on the stages of development of the team skills level and results achieved in recent competitions.
