AROUND 40 children with disabilities will be treated to a fun day out on Saturday by Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE).

The annual HCE Children’s Party will be held at Salmaniya Garden, Manama, from 9.30am.

Children living with conditions such as Down syndrome and autism will take part in the event, which is being held in support of the Bahrain Association for Parents and Friends of Disabled Children.

The children, along with their family and friends, will be hosted by HCE as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

“This is a staff initiative which we decided to take as part of our internal CSR programme,” said HCE exhibitions director Ahmed Suleiman.

“We wanted to give back to the community and when staff saw what this organisation was doing, they were very inspired so we were very excited to support them.”

He added the company’s support for the association would be ongoing.

“We will be working with the organisation all year, providing them with support in marketing, public relations and any other skills or services that can be of service to them,” said Mr Suleiman.
