A HOST of events and activities have been lined up by the Labour and Social Development Ministry as part of National Day celebrations.
Facilities and centres run by the ministry will also be decorated.
The Productive Families fair, which ended yesterday, included family-oriented activities such as face-painting and henna designs.
Celebrations continue in community centres in Riffa, Muharraq, Isa Town, Sitra and Manama from Monday until Thursday with activities and prizes for children.
On Saturday, ‘Diratna Mohimatna’ (Our Country, Our Mission) festival will be held as part of World Volunteers Day, which is observed every year on December 5.
The festival, which is open to the public, will take place in Water Garden City, Manama, behind City Centre Bahrain, from 3pm.
It will feature a variety of Bahraini restaurants and competitions besides car, motorcycle, diving and falconry shows.
As part of the Our Dear Kingdom festival on Monday and Tuesday, the National Bank of Bahrain Rehabilitation Home for Disabled Children has organised activities for members of the Salwa Disabled Club and Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait Rehabilitation Centre.
The ministry’s celebrations end on December 26 with the Social Care and Rehabilitation Directorate arranging festivities at Al Hekma Society for the Retired, Riffa.
