Winning two of their matches on Wednesday Supernet Cargo opened up the competition for knockout stages in the Indian Club IPL Tournament 2017.
In the first match, Supernet defeated Noor Cricket Academy by four wickets.
With the help of Ajay Kumar’s 12 runs (1x6) Noor Cricket Academy scored 32 runs for two wickets in six overs. Opener Jamsher was the star for Supernet, scoring an unbeaten 15 (1x4) as his team completed the target in 5.4 overs.
Jamsher was the man of the match as he also claimed one wicket for three runs.
In a hig-scoring second match, Supernet stunned Kudla Challengers by five wickets.
Chasing a tough 42-run target, Supernet scored 45 runs in 4.4 overs for one wicket. Man of the match Shabab played an attacking game scoring 21 off 14 balls (1x4,2x6). Captain Shabbir also contributed 13 not out in five balls with a six and a four.
Batting earlier, Kudla scored 41 runs in six overs losing four wickets. Opener Vivian top scored for his team with 13 runs (1x4).
In the last match, Pappilon Mangalore Boyz eased past Riffa Cricket Club by four wickets.
Batting first, Riffa scored run-a-ball 36 helped by Nabeel’s 15 off six balls (2x4,1x6). Captain Imran led the charge with 17 not out off 10 balls (1x4,1x6) as Mangalore Boyz completed the proceedings in 4.3 overs. Imran, who got two wickets for three runs, claimed the man of the match prize.
