Dubai: Various areas across the UAE are expected to experience a strong storm this weekend, and Abu Dhabi is making sure it is well-equipped to handle the pressure.

Thursday:
Partly cloudy, hazy at times, temperature tends to increase gradually. A chance of local convective clouds formation northward and eastward of the country by afternoon.
Winds: Moderate easterly to southeasterly winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust/sand at times, with speed 25 – 35 km/hr, reaching to 45 km/hr at times.
Sea: Moderate to Rough in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
Friday:
Unstable weather condition will start northward and eastward of the country. Clouds amount increases gradually may associate with rainy convictive clouds especially over islands and some northern and eastern areas.
Wind: Moderate easterly to southeasterly winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust/sand at times, with speeds of 30 – 35 km/hr, reaching upto 50 km/hr at times.
Sea: Rough in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea especially with convective cloud activity.
Saturday to Monday:
Unstable weather condition will continue and extend over all the country, the clouds amount will increase with convective thundery clouds accompanied by different rain intensity and thunder at times from time to time.
Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly moderate to fresh at times causing blowing dust/sand, with speed 30 – 40 km/hr reaching to 65 km/hr with convective clouds.
Sea: Rough to very rough at times in case of convective clouds activity in the Arabian Gulf & in Oman Sea.
On Wednesday, Rashid Suwaidan Al Kutbi, chairman of the Emergency and Crisis Committee, held a meeting with municipality officials and representatives of relevant authorities, to set up an effective plan on how to deal with the rain’s aftermath.
