Riyadh: The US IMAX Corporation is planning to open 20 world-standard cinemas in Saudi Arabia over the coming three years.
In an interview with CNBC news channel, IMAX Chief Executive Officer Richard Gelfond revealed that his company will sign an agreement soon to open cinemas in a number of Saudi cities.
He stressed interest in investing the cinema industry in Saudi Arabia which, he described as an “important market with great investment potential”.
“Saudi Arabia is the best place to invest and expand our network of luxurious and unique movie theatres, using high-resolution screens and cutting-edge technologies”, he said.
